NTCIR-5 Meeting will be held on Dec. 6-9, NII, Tokyo, Japan.
Anyone who is interested in the activities and research done at NTCIR-5
are welcome to join the Meeting!

The first day will be Tutorial and Open Submission Sessions, in which
the papers submitted from in or outside of NTCIR-5 participants and
accepted by reviewing committee will be presented. Tutorial is mainly
for the new comers.
December 7-9 will be ordinary NTCIR Workshop Meeting, which includes
Overview and presentation of participants' system papers.


1. REGISTRATION to NTCIR-5 Meeting:

Online registration will be closed after November 26. Please
make sure　you register before it. Please notice that credit
cards are available online registration only. Registration
at conference venue is more expensive and takes time, so
I strongly recommend you to register online beforehand.

2. HOTEL BOOKING

Please book hotel rooms **NOW** if you will attend the NTCIR-5
Meeting. Our block booked rooms will be not be available after
today. We can not guarantee your rooms after today.

If you will stay KKR Hotel or Green Hotel, Please book your room
**NOW** by sending a hotel booking form to NTCIR Secretariat at
ntc-secretariat@xxxxxxxxxx

After today, I'm sorry to say, but NTCIR Secretariat can not help
your hotel booking.

Especially those without Japanese Language expertise, we strongly
recommend to book a room through NTCIR Secretariat by TODAY
(Nov. 10) if you wish to stay at KKR or Green Hotel, or use Grand
Palace Hotel.

If you will stay at Grand Palace Hotel, please download the Grand
Palace Hotel Booking Form form the URL below, and reserve room
by yourself by sending the completed form to the Hotel by fax.
The special rate for NTCIR-5 will be available by NOV. 15.

[Japanese Announcement]

NTCIR MLの皆さま

かねてよりお知らせのように、来月12月6日〜9日に、学術総合センター
(国立情報学研究所と同じビル）で、NTCIR-5の成果報告会を開催
いたします。タスク参加者以外でも、どなたでもご出席できます。
ぜひ、奮ってご参加の上、議論に参加してください。

12月6日は、チュートリアルと公募論文セッションです。
公募論文セッションは、通常の学会と同じように、NTCIRの参加者や
参加者以外の方々から論文の公募を受付け、査読後、採択されたもの
が発表されます。チュートリアルはNTCIRの簡単な歴史が翌日からの
セッションの理解を助けるための基礎的な解説で、主に、初めて参加
される方を対象としています。

12月7-9日が、通常のNTCIRの成果報告会です。全体や各タスクの
概要発表、参加者の論文やポスタ発表があります。


１．オンライン参加登録
成果報告会に出席される方は、下記から、参加登録をお願いします。
11月26日までに、登録していただけると助かります。
当日参加も可能ですが、オンライン登録の方が、すこし、参加費が
割引になっており、しかも、会議当日の処理がスムーズです。また、
クレジットカードはオンライン登録のみで使用可能ですので、ご留意
ください。

２．ホテルの予約

NTCIR-5成果報告会のために、NTCIR事務局で、ホテルの部屋を
確保してあります。これは、本日を過ぎると、ホテル側に返して
しまいます。

もし、NII近くのKKRホテルか水道橋グリーンホテルに宿泊希望の
方で、NIIを通じで予約を希望されるかたは、**本日中(11月10日）
に**、下記ページから予約フォームをダウンロードして、必要事
項を記入してNTCIR事務局までお送りください。明日以降は、事務
局では、宿泊施設の手配は、お手伝いできませんので、ご了承く
ださい。

Grand Palace Hotelは、下記のページのNTCIR専用の予約票を
使って、各自で予約をお願いいたします。**NTCIRの特別料金の
適用は、11月15日予約分まで**です。
