Travel Information

The conference takes place in Building 18 of the Komaba I campus of the University of Tokyo, located about 1.5 km west of Shibuya, one of the main commercial districts in Tokyo. The Komaba I campus sits right in front of Koamba-Todaimae Station of the Keio Inokashira Line, which is two stops from Shibuya Station by a local train.

From the airport to Shibuya

The only international ariport that serves Tokyo is Narita International Airport. There are various ways to get to Shibuya from Narita International Airport. We list the two easiest ways.

Limousine

The Aiport Limousine takes you directly to Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu (map), which is right above Shibuya Station of the Keio Inokashira Line. The service is not very frequent, however.

Express Train

Narita Express, operated by JR East (East Japan Railway), connects Narita Aiport with various areas in Tokyo. Some, but not many, Narita Express trains stop at Shibuya. Usually, you need to change at Shinagawa or Shinjuku to the JR Yamanote Line. JR Shibuya Station is five stops from Shinagawa and three stops from Shinjuku.

From Shibuya to Komaba-Todaimae

From Shibuya Station of the Keio Inokashira Line (run by Keio Corporation), be sure to take a local train (kakueki teisha), not an express train (kyuukoo), since the latter does not stop at Komaba-Todaimae. If you are staying at a hotel in Shibuya, it is also possible to walk (with a map and a good sense of direction).
