Dear all,

As we have received several request to extend the deadline of the
application for task participation at the NTCIR-4, we extended the
deadline to April 20, 2003. You are most welcome and please register
in your earliest opportunity.

For this workshop, the task structure are the same as the previous workshop;
CLIR, PATENT, QAC, TSC, and WEB. But basically the scale of the document
collections were increased for CLIR, PATENT, QAC and TSC and each task tried
to clarify the focuses of the evalation. We do hope you will enjoy your
participation
and utilize this unique opportunity for the research.

皆さま

多かったため、参加申込みの期限を4月20日まで延期しました。

なお、文書データの配布は、当初の申込み期限3月20日までに覚書
を提出してくださったグループの方には、予定通り、配布を開始します。
3月20日以降に覚書が届いた方は、順次、処理が済み次第、配布し
ます。

このNTCIR-4では、基本的な５つのタスクは前回と同様ですが、CLIR、
PATENT, QAC, TSCでは、いずれも文書コレクションが拡大しました。
また、いずれもタスクも前回の反省点を改善し、さらにより焦点を明確な
評価を目指しています。
