1. INTRODUCTION

In the NTCIR-8 Community QA task, "Yahoo! Chiebukuro Data" is used as Document Data for Formal Run.

This corpus is distributed to researchers from the IDR Office, the National Institute of Informatics.

For the purpuse of accomplishing tasks set out in the NTCIR Workshop　and conducting research related to the NTCIR Project, the"Yahoo! Chiebukuro Data" is available for NTCIR-8 Community QA Task participants.

If you have this corpus, you do not need to newly obtain the one.

This is only a portion of the data for the NTCIR-8 Community QA Task. The rest of the data can be obtained directly from NTCIR after filling out and sending the following forms below.

2. HOW TO OBTAIN THE DATA

We have provided to the IDR Office with the list of registered NTCIR-8 Community QA task participants. Any participants included in this list can obtain the data by going through the following procedure.

A. Sign and send the NTCIR memorandum for task paritcipants

Please send the NTCIR-8 Community QA Agreement forms (For Task Participants) to the NTCIR Project Office.

If you will obtain the "Yahoo! Chiebukuro Data", please enclose the Memorandum for the "Yahoo! Chiebukuro Data" with the NTCIR Memorandum.

B. Necessary documents

For the participating group in the Community QA task, necessary documents mentioned below have been sent to the contact person and the PI of the group by e-mail.

C. Sign and send the memorandum

Please download and make two copies of the form [agreement-en.pdf] in double-sided print. At the top of page 1, please enter the name of your institution and the address of registered office. At the bottom of page 3, please enter the name of your institution, the name of the person signing, his/her title, division and notice address.

Please leave the column of the date blank.

Two copies of the form should be filled out, signed and sent enclosed with the NTCIR Memorandum by postal mail or courier to the address below.

After counter-signed by NII side, one copy of the form will be sent to you and you will be contacted with instructions on how to download the data.
