[ntcir:406] Search Student Assistants for NTCIR-8 Meeting

Dear NTCIR-8 Participants,

Thanks again for your participation in the NTCIR-8.

We are looking for student assistants who can help the NTCIR-8
Meeting organization. If you're interested in the assistance and
can commit to it, please fill in the form attached at the end of
this message.

These are all paid posts as part of travel support program
for students from oversea and from Japan.

a) Session Assistants
Time keeper, Microphone runner (who will pass the microphone
to the attendees who will raise the question to the oral
presentation), assistant for the oral presenter to set up
their PC to projector, etc.

b) Note takers
To take the notes of the sessions at NTCIR-8 Meeting, and
publish the notes to Blog and twitter in English (and your
own language if you wish in addition to English)

c) Photograph takers
To take the photographs during the NTCIR-8 Meeting as much
as possible using digital cameras for recording purpose.
Some of them may be published at NTCIR's website or other
related publications.

d) Conference room assistants
To help the moving and re-arranging the desks and chairs
after the sessions.

All the assistants for the above posts can stay
in the session rooms during sessions, so that you can
listen to the presentations in the NTCIR-8 Meeting.

If you are interested in the assistant posts, please
apply using the form below and send it to
ntc-secretariat @ nii.ac.jp with the subject of the email:
"STUDENT ASSISTANT - Your name" by June 6th.

Qualification:
- You must commit to help the conference organization.
- You must attend one of the student assistant orientations;
  1) June 15  12:00-12:20, or
  2) June 15  18:15-18:35
which will be provided near the registration desk of the conference venue,

If you will apply for the a), b), or c) on
June 15, the orientation is included in the working
hours.

Finally, please note that we will try to distribute the work load
to as many students as possible when we have many applications.
Therefore we cannot guarantee to offer you the amount of work
load (and pay) you might wish.

NTICR-8 Meetingでは、Travel Support Programの一貫として
以下のように学生アシスタントを募集しています。いずれも、
セッション中は、セッション会場にいることが
できますので、全セッションを聴講することができます。

関心のある方は、上記のフォームでntc-secretariat@xxxxxxxxx
まで、お申し込みください。その際、メールの件名は
STUDENT ASSISTANT -　申込者のお名前　
でお願いします。6月6日までに申し込んでください。

a) Session Assistants 会場係
タイムキーパー、口頭発表の質疑のときのマイク持ち、
発表者の手助け（PCをプロジェクタにつなぐなど）

b) Note takers　　ノート係
会議の口頭発表やポスター発表について、ノートをとり、
ブログやツィッターなどに発信する。英語か日本語、
またはその両方で。

c) Photograph takers　　写真係
デジカメでNTCIR-8 MeetingやEVIA2010の様子をたくさん
写真を撮る

d) Conference room assistants　会場設営
セッション終了後に机などの移動をする

e) 照明係
6月16日〜18日に大講堂の舞台袖にある照明・音響機器の
調整ブースで、照明や音響機器の操作をする.
音声は聞こえ、会場や講演者の様子はわかりますが、たい
へんもうしわけないのですが、スライドは見えない可能性
が高いです。

上記は、セッションをすべて聴講できる仕事です。

そのほか、セッション会場外になり、聴講はできませんが、
受付の仕事もあります。

申込資格：
・NTCIR-8とEVIA2010の運営を手伝おう！という気持ちの強
　い方
・下記のオリエンテーションのいずれかに出席できる方
　　1回目：6月15日(火）12:00〜12:20,  または
　　2回目：6月15日(火）18:15〜18:35
   会議会場の参加登録受付デスク周辺
  6月15日のa)〜c)は、勤務時間の最初にオリエンが
　　含まれます
・日本在住の外国籍の方（日本の大学に在学している海外から
　の留学生など）は、資格外活動許可証が必要です

また大変申し訳ありませんが、多数の応募者があった場合、なるべく
多くの方々にお手伝いをしていただくようにアレンジしますので、
ご希望の作業量(と支払い)を提供できない場合があります。予めご了
承ください。
