論文では現在のインターネット上での情報サービス環境を最大限に利用しつつ、高度で使用しやすい全文データベース検索サービスを提供できるシステムの構成方法を述べている。WWWのクライアントであるMosaicとサーバであるHTTPDを用い、既存の高度な検索エンジンとの間を独自のゲートウェイにより結合する。階層構造を持つ文書データを対象に柔軟で効率的な検索を可能とするインタフェースを実現している。
his paper describes a configuration method of a system which can provide full text database retrieval services.The system is easy to use and has advanced features, while utilizing the information services environmentcurrently available on the Internet at most. It adopts a client software Mosaic and a server software HTTPD forthe WWW service as a basis, and combines an existing advanced text retrieval engine with them through anoriginal gateway. It realizes a user interface through which users can access to document data with hierarchicalstructures flexibly and efficiently.
