Submission of paper for proceedings

Every active participant who conducted the task(s) set by the NTCIR Workshop 7 must write and submit a paper for the Proceedings of the 7th NTCIR Workshop Meeting, regardless of attendance of the Workshop meeting. Please follow the guideline on the web: author guidelines.

Submission due: Nov 15, 2008 (camera ready paper)

If you have any problems or questions about the electronic submission process using the START system, please feel free to contact the appropriate task organizer. (See sidebar at left for individual task links.)


What you submit:
(a) submission information When you make a new submission, please fill in the submission form in the START system accurately. The table of content for the proceedings will be compiled due to these information.
If a change occurs with the information, please make contact with NTCIR Proceedings Team at ntc-proceedings

Note: All participants are expected to present posters including those who are selected to present at oral session.
(b) copyright form using the form ( pdf txt revised in 2008.Oct.03 ) we provide for the Proceedings.

(c) PDF version of the paper. Further information is available here.

After you submit electronically on Oct 1, the task organizers will read them and provide some comments for enhancement or modification or clarification if appropriate. After revision and enhancement based on those comments, the final camera-ready copy must be submitted no later than Nov 15, 2008 in PDF. (Please understand this is really firm deadline)

Please make sure you produce a high quality or a press quality PDF with all necessary fonts embedded, and disable all security options.

(d) 2 copies of hard copy version of your camera-ready paper

Please send two copies of hard copy version of your camera-ready paper to NTCIR project Office by Postal mail before Nov 15, 2008

Where to submit the paper:
We are using the START conference management system to track submissions for the conference. Please submit your paper to the correponding link using the NTCIR-7 START system.

    If you plan to use LaTeX for compiling the manuscript, please get the style file named latex8.sty for that. If you use 'latex8.sty', please adjust the margin settings, the same as the sample tex source file.

Page limit:
No longer than 8 pages for one task ("task" means either of CCLQA, IR4QA, MOAT, PAT MT, PAT MN or MuST).

Note:
(1) Manuscripts of task overview will be partially available by September. Participants will be able to refer to the task overview in order to explain the task design or basic statistics in the paper. Please avoid describing redundantly such basic information in your paper.
(2) Papers in the Proceedings will be also published on the Web in the form of PDF files.
