Ever wondered how to evaluate your new technology?

Over the 10 years, NTCIR Workshops have been formulating the infrastructure for the evaluation of various information access technologies, and offering the infrastructure to a range of research communities. A total of 44 "evaluation tasks" have been organised by the leading researchers in the field of Informatics and related areas, attracting over 600 participant research groups so far. The evaluation data generated as a result of such a large-scale research community are called "test collections" which can offer an evaluation platform for new information access technologies with a high level of reproducibility. Over 1500 research groups have signed up to use the NTCIR test collections in the last decade. Furthermore, researchers have been intensively discussing the evaluation methodology of emerging information access technologies at NTCIR.

This is a memorial 10th cycle of NTCIR, and we would like to hold an event to introduce the NTCIR-10 and exciting evaluation tasks.

Are you a young researcher in Information Access area, faculty members who have (many) students to supervise, researchers in industry, or simply interested in Informatics? Anyone is welcome for the event!

Join us to share the advance of the state of the art Information Access research and development!
