In the NTCIR Workshop, the conference (previously called 'Workshop Meeting') is held in the end of the every cycle of a year and a half. Anyone is welcome to join.
The First meeting of the NTCIR Workshop 1 was held on 1999 in Tokyo.
The results of participating teams, as well as comparative evaluation results is presented at the conference. Many researchers from various countries participate and share their experiences and discuss the future plan and the roadmap for leveraging the IA research.
